In my work I conflate pop culture with social and political issues by turning innocuously beautiful jewelry into subversive conversation pieces. The central focus of this series is technology – the technology of food, jewelry and plastics production. In the clash of high and low technology the delicate dance of our food plays out in traditional symbols of power and status, Cameos for Modern Times.
